Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information our games and website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

Effective 25 July 2026Last updated 25 July 2026

1. Who we are

Beyond Play Studios is a casual game studio based in India.

In this policy, "we", "us", "our" and "the Studio" mean Beyond Play Studios. "You" means the person using our games or website.

For the purposes of the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation we act as the Data Controller.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

Our games differ from one another. A single-player puzzle game collects far less than a game with an account and online multiplayer. Sections 4 to 10 describe every category of information we may collect across our whole catalogue, and each one states clearly when it applies. If a feature is not present in the game you are playing, the information described for that feature is not collected. Each game's store listing also carries a data disclosure specific to that title.

This policy does not apply to the practices of Google, Apple, or the other providers described in section 6. Their handling of your information is governed by their own policies.

4.3 Information we deliberately do not collect

We do not collect your contacts, calendar, photos, microphone or camera input, precise location, health data, biometric data, SMS or call logs, or the list of other apps installed on your device. Our games do not request those permissions. If a future title needs one, we will ask you for it in-app and update this policy first.

4.4 Website

Our website uses only the cookies and storage strictly necessary to serve the pages. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on it. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser user-agent and requested URL, for security and troubleshooting.

5. Why we use it, and our legal basis

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR)Basis (DPDP Act)
Running the game, saving your progress, delivering what you bought Performance of a contract Consent given when you install and play
Fixing crashes and bugs, improving level design and difficulty Legitimate interests — keeping our games working and worth playing Consent
Measuring how the game is used in aggregate Legitimate interests, or consent where required in your region Consent
Showing non-personalised advertising Legitimate interests — funding free-to-play games Consent
Showing personalised advertising Consent Consent
Preventing cheating, fraud, refund abuse and account theft Legitimate interests Consent and legitimate use
Answering your support messages and rights requests Legitimate interests and legal obligation Legitimate use
Keeping tax and transaction records Legal obligation Legal obligation

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it, and some withdrawals will limit what the game can do — turning off cloud save, for example, means your progress stays on the device.

You may ask us for this notice in English or in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India. Write to us at the address in section 20 and we will provide it.

6. Third-party services in our games

We build small games and rely on established third-party providers rather than running our own advertising, analytics or multiplayer infrastructure. The specific providers we use change from time to time as we add games, replace technology, or switch suppliers, so we describe them here by category and by what they receive.

You can ask us at any time which providers a particular game currently uses. Email spnikam1984@gmail.com naming the game and we will tell you.

CategoryWhat it doesWhat it typically receives
Advertising and mediation networks Select, deliver, cap and measure the ads that fund our free games Advertising ID, IP address, device and app data, ad interactions, and your consent or tracking choice
Analytics providers Show us in aggregate how our games are used — which levels are too hard, where players stop, which features go unused Installation identifier, device data, gameplay events, country
Crash and diagnostics providers Capture crashes and errors so we can reproduce and fix them Crash traces, device state at the time of the fault, app version, installation identifier
App store and platform services Distribution, payment processing, optional sign-in, achievements, leaderboards and saved games — currently Google and Apple Your payment details go to the store and never to us. We receive a purchase token or receipt, and a platform account identifier if you choose to sign in
Multiplayer infrastructure providers Matchmaking and hosting real-time multiplayer sessions Nickname, session and match identifiers, IP address used to route the session
Hosting and email providers Serving our website and handling your support correspondence Server logs, and the content of any email you send us

Every provider is bound by its own privacy policy and by a contract with us that limits what it may do with your data. Where a provider processes data purely on our instructions it acts as a processor — a Data Processor under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act — and may not use your data for its own purposes. Advertising networks are different: for the advertising data they collect they generally act as independent controllers, and their own policies govern that use. Section 7 explains how to limit what they receive.

7. Advertising and your choices

Our games are free to download and are funded by advertising. Ads may be shown between levels, as banners, or as rewarded videos you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit.

7.1 Personalised versus non-personalised ads

Personalised ads use your device's advertising ID to select ads our partners think are relevant to you. Non-personalised ads are selected on context — the game you are playing and your general region — rather than your interests. We serve non-personalised ads wherever you have not consented to personalised ones. You will still see the same number of ads either way.

7.2 On iOS

iOS shows you Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking across apps takes place. If you decline, we and our partners do not access your Identifier for Advertisers and you will receive non-personalised ads. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

7.3 In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

We show a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform on first launch, as required by Google's EU user consent policy and by the GDPR. You can accept, reject, or set your choices per purpose and per partner. You can reopen that message at any time from the game's Settings → Privacy screen and change your mind.

7.4 On Android, and everywhere else

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising on iOS. Deleting the advertising ID gives apps a string of zeroes instead of an identifier, which stops personalised advertising at the device level for every app you use.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating networks at optout.aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.eu and optout.networkadvertising.org.

8. In-app purchases

Some games offer optional purchases — removing ads, extra lives, cosmetic items, or in-game currency.

All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive, see, or store your card number, bank details, UPI ID, or billing address. What we receive from the store is a purchase token or receipt, the product identifier, the transaction identifier, the date, and the amount and currency. We use that to unlock what you bought, restore it if you reinstall, detect fraudulent or duplicated transactions, and keep the accounting records Indian law requires us to keep.

We do not issue refunds ourselves. Any refund is granted by the store you purchased from, at its discretion and under its own policy. Section 7 of our Terms of Use explains this, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

9. Accounts, sign-in and cloud save

Most of our games have no account at all. You install, you play, your progress sits on your device, and we never learn who you are.

A small number of titles offer optional sign-in so your progress follows you between devices. Where they do, sign-in runs through Google Play Games Services or Sign in with Apple. We do not operate a password-based login and we never see or store a password.

When you sign in we store a player record containing the identifier the sign-in provider gives us, your display name, your saved progress and inventory, and your achievement and leaderboard entries. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real email address behind Apple's private relay, and that works normally with our games.

You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the game, or through our deletion page.

10. Multiplayer and nicknames

A small number of our games include an online multiplayer mode. In those games:

11. Children and age requirements

Our games are intended for a general audience. They are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the higher minimum age that applies where you live — 16 in several countries in the European Economic Area. We do not participate in the Google Play Families programme or Apple's Kids Category, and our store listings do not target children.

Where local law treats a person under a higher age as a child — India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, for instance, applies to anyone under 18 — a parent or legal guardian must read this policy, consent on the young person's behalf, and supervise their use of our games. Parents and guardians remain responsible for the account and for any purchases made on their device.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to us at spnikam1984@gmail.com. We will delete it and close any associated account promptly.

12. Who we share information with

We share information only in these situations:

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it to build profiles for anyone other than the advertising purposes described in section 7.

13. International transfers

We operate from India and our service providers are located mainly in the United States, the European Union, and India. Playing our games therefore involves your information being transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, where data protection law may differ from your home country's.

Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable), or on an adequacy decision where one covers the destination. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to a specific transfer.

14. How long we keep information

We keep personal data only for as long as we actually need it, and no longer. How long that is depends on what the data is for:

When you ask us to delete your data we act on it as described in section 17. The only things we keep afterwards are the records we are legally required to retain, or that we need in order to prevent fraud and enforce our terms, and we keep them for that purpose alone.

15. Security

We use encryption in transit for all network communication, restrict administrative access to the small number of people who need it, rely on established platform providers rather than running our own authentication, and store account data with providers who maintain recognised security certifications.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant regulators within the time limits the law sets — including reporting to the Data Protection Board of India and to CERT-In where required, and within 72 hours to the relevant supervisory authority under the GDPR.

16. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over the information we hold about you.

RightWhat it means
AccessGet a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and a summary of how it is processed
CorrectionHave inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed
ErasureHave your data deleted where we no longer need it or where you withdraw consent
PortabilityReceive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (EEA and UK)
Objection and restrictionObject to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved (EEA and UK)
Withdraw consentChange your advertising and tracking choices at any time, from the game's Settings screen
NominationNominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (India)
Grievance redressalRaise a complaint with us first, and escalate to a regulator if unsatisfied (India — see section 18)
Opt out of sale or sharingDirect us to stop sharing your data for cross-context behavioural advertising (California)
Non-discriminationExercise any of these rights without being charged more or given a worse experience

16.1 How to exercise them

Email spnikam1984@gmail.com with the name of the game and, if the game has accounts, your in-game player ID. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to ask you a question to confirm the request comes from you or from someone entitled to act for you — we will not ask for more identifying information than is necessary to do that.

16.2 California residents — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. Serving personalised advertising may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. To opt out, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, delete or reset your advertising ID on Android, or email us at the address above with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line. We honour Global Privacy Control signals on our website. You may use an authorised agent to make this request on your behalf.

16.3 Complaints

If we have not resolved your concern, you may complain to your local data protection authority: the Data Protection Board of India, your supervisory authority in the EEA, or the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom. We would appreciate the chance to fix it first.

17. Deleting your data

There are three routes, depending on the game.

We resolve deletion requests within 30 days. The deletion page sets out exactly what is removed and what we are required to keep.

18. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them, the following person handles grievances about this policy and about our handling of your data.

Grievance Officer
Beyond Play Studios, India
Email: spnikam1984@gmail.com

We aim to resolve grievances within 30 days of receipt.

19. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our games change or when the law does. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in-app or by a notice on this page before it takes effect, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent again. Continuing to play after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
